About Bournemouth Sevens;

Described as a combination of V Festival, Dubai Sevens and Cartier Cup Polo, the Bournemouth Sevens Festival is an action packed weekend of sport, music and entertainment.

Held over the May Bank Holiday weekend on the 29th & 30th May; 20, 000 people descend to the sunny south coast venue.

Live bands and DJs (to be announced shortly) will be entertaining the crowds from the festival stage and beer marquees all weekend.

England Rugby International, Austin Healey commented, “Bournemouth Sevens is not just a festival of rugby; it’s so much more with music, netball, camping and entertainment.

I’m so impressed with the magnitude of the event which is why I keep coming back year on year” said Healey.

Healey will be joined by Lewis Moody and other sporting legends in the exclusive V.VIP area that offers 5 star corporate entertainment.

Roger Woodall, Festival Director, realised there was a unique opportunity to create the largest sport and music event of its kind in the world,

“There’s so much going on at the festival with live music, a parachute display, fancy dress, Pitchside Jacuzzi, beer tents and camping for 3,000 people which is why so many people come back year one year” comments Woodall.

The festival, that recently won the Sport Business Award for Mass Participation, provides sporting competitions for 4,000 participants in rugby sevens and netball.

The inclusion of rugby sevens in the Rio 2016 Olympics has lead to a significant increase in the media attention of the sport.
